NEW DELHI: Munshi Ram Shekhawat who retired from CRPF in 2004 as Second-In-Command, represented India in the 19th Asia Master Athletics Championship 2016, held at Singapore from 4th to 8th May, 2016 in which 24 countries participated.
“He won the gold medals in 400 mtrs, 800 mtrs and 4X400 mtrs relay. During the last seven years, he has won 16 gold, 11 silver and five bronze medals in national and international events,” PRO, CRPF, DTE, Munesh Dutt said.
Munshi will represent India in the Word Athletic Championship to be at Auckland, New Zealand during 2017.
