Three revenue officers land in Vigilance net

JAMMU: The State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) Jammu has booked three revenue officers/officials for issuing of different Revenue Extracts of same property.
Pursuant to verification conducted upon the receipt of a complaint from the Court of Special Judge, Anti Corruption, Jammu lodged by one Meena Anand, wife of Sunil Anand, resident of W. No.5/7 Samba alleging therein that one Gulab Singh, son of Phulla Singh, resident of H.No.101, Nanak Nagar, Jammu through his attorney holder Sardari Lal in connivance with the then Patwari Halqa Nanak Chack, Girdawar Nanak Chack, the then Naib Tehsildar (Rural) Samba and the then Tehsildar Samba deprived the complainant of her land as the same was sold by Gulab Singh to Raj Kumar, son of Ram Krishan, resident of Meerth Tehsil and District Samba and Jugal Kishore, son of Om Parkash, resident of village Rasoo P.O Hatli, Kathua.
Verification has revealed that Patwari Halqa Chak Nanaka prepared fictitious/fraudulent revenue record by concealing the real facts issued Fard Intikhab, Nakal Khasra Girdawari and Tatima Shajra of the land falling under Khasra No 291 measuring 6 kanal 3 marlas, khasra No. 145 measuring 2 kanal 11 marlas and khasra No. 148 measuring 11 marlas (Total 09K-05M) situated at village Chack Nanaka Tehsil and District Samba, actually owned and possessed by the complainant Meena Anand, wife of Sunil Anand resident of W. No. 5/7 Samba to Gulab Singh, son of Phulla Singh, resident of Nanak Nagar, Jammu showing it in his name.
The said fabricated/fictitious Fard Intikhab and other related revenue documents prepared by the then Patwari, endorsed/attested by Girdawar and Naib Tehsildar Samba and countersigned by Tehsildar Samba.
On the basis of said illegal Fard Intikhab, the said Gulab Singh through his above named attorney holder sold the said land to Raj Kumar, son of Ram Krishan, resident of Mirath Kathua and Jugal Kishore, son of Om Parkash, resident of Rasso, Kathua through two different sale deeds.
From the facts discussed above it has been found that Patwari Chak Nanak Samba in connivance with Gulab Singh, son of Late Phulla Singh, resident of H.No.147 Sector No.13, Nanak Nagar, Jammu and his attorney holder namely Sardari Lal resident of W. No. 3, Karan Nagar, Kathua, tampered/prepared fictitious revenue extracts in respect of khsara No’s 291, 145 and 148 of the complainant to give undue benefit to Gulab Singh, son of Late Phulla Singh, resident of H.No.147 sector No. 13 Nanak Nagar, Jammu endorsed/attested by Girdawar and Naib Tehsildar Samba, and countersigned by Tehsildar Samba.
The above mentioned acts of omission and commission on the part of above named revenue officers/officials and the beneficiary constitute the offences punishable under section 5(1) (d) read with 5(2) J&K P.C. Act, 467, 468, 470, 471 and 120-B RPC. Accordingly a case FIR is registered against all above named public servants and private persons under the aforesaid sections of Law. Accordingly a case is registered at Police Station Vigilance Organisation Jammu and further investigation is going on.
