Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti celebrated with religious fervour

AKHNOOR: On the occasion of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti, a massive function was organised by Barahman Paratinidhi Sabha (BPS) Akhnoor on Sunday. The four-day long celebratiuon concluded today with a Shobha Yatra.
The Yatra was taken out under the presidentship of BPS President Dayal Khajuri and other members of BPS Akhnoor which started from Historical Kameshwar Mandir and after passing through the Kameshwar Market, Bus Stand, Gole Market, Nirdhosh Chowk and other famous places of Akhnoor town culminated at Bhagwan Parshuram Dham Mandir on the banks of river Chenab where thousands devotees and prominent citizens including MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma and other people participated.
On the occasion, a Havan Yagya and Satsang Bhajan Kirtan was also organised in which Suresh Shastri delivered the sermons and organised a Bhandara for all people.
POONCH: Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti was celebrated with religious fervour and enthusiasm in Poonch.
Two-day celebrations in connection with the Jayanti, began yesterday morning with start of Shri Ramayan Akhand Path at Maa Annpoorna Temple. The function was organised by District Brahmin Sabha Poonch.
Amidst Vedic rituals and chanting of hymns, thousand of devotees participated in the religious Shoba Yatra which started from Maa Annpoorna ji Temple and after passing through the main market culminated back at Maa Annpoorna Temple. Various social and religious organiations established stalls of eatables enroute the Shoba Yatra.
Besides distinguished Vedic scholars, a number of locals and prominent people took part in the religious Dharam Sammelan where speakers spread light on the life and teachings of Bhagwaan Parshuram ji.
Satpal Sharma, President of District Brahman Sabha, Darshan Bharti, General Secretary, Dr S.D Sharma, Satish Sasan President District Sanatan Dharam Sabha Poonch, Satya Paul Sharma, Dr Dharminder Shastri, Amresh Sharma,Bhai Lokesh Dutt, Sanjeev Sharma, Sanjay Raina and others spoke on the occasion. SSP J S Johar was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Bhagwan Shree Parshu Ram Jyanti was celebrated in Udhampur with full gaiety and religious fervour. A large number of people of Brahmin community including youths assembled in the premises of Kargil Hanuman Temple, after performing traditional Puja, an impressive and well decorated Shoba Yatra was taken out headed by Subash Shastri. Yatra passed through Domail Chowk, Slathia Chowk, Court Road, Main Bazaar, Sallain Talab, Chabutra Bazaar and later culminated at DN Palace. At many places people accorded warm reception to Shoba Yatra and also distributed fruits, cold drinks and sweets.
Later a Vishal Bhandra was organised for devotees where thousands of people took Prashad. Besides local MLA Pawan Kumar Gupta, BJP State Secy. Pawan Khajuria, former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, PDP former District President Sukhdev Sharma and many more participated in Shoba Yatra.
Meanwhile reports from Chenani said that Brahmin community of Tehsil Chenani and its adjoining locality also celebrated Bhagwan Shree Parshu Ram Jayanti with great fun and zeal. Brahmin Saba President Gopal Mangotra said in view of Jayanti celebration main function was organised at famous religious place at Beeni Sanug where large number of devotees participated and took the blessings of the Parshuram.

Parshuram Jayanti was celebrated by Brahman Sabha Kathua with religious fervour and enthusiasm on Sunday. Piush Ji Maharaj son of Subhash Shastri Ji delivered the religious discourses. A Shobha Yatra was taken out in which thousands of people participated. The Shobha Yatra was given warm reception enroute in which the participants were served cold drinks, ice cream, fruit and sweets. The Yatra which commenced from Brahman Sabha passed through Mukherji Chowk, Degree College, Shaheedi Chowk, Kaliwari, Chenab Textile Mills, Hatli Morh and finally culminated at Brahman Sabha.
Meanwhile, A Shoba Yatra was also taken out by Ram Mandir Committee, Samba which started from Mandir Premises and after passing through Jatwal, Ghagwal, Rajpura, Kalibari culminated back at Mandir Premises. Later a Bhandara was also organised in which large number of devotees took Parsad.
