UDHAMPUR: Defeating the secessionist ideology and spreading the aura of nationalism, JKNPP’s Tiranga Rally comprising of more than 100 cars being led by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP, Balwant Singh Mankotia State President JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal State President Young Panthers took off to Kashmir from Press Club Jammu today morning.
The rally passed through Vinayak Bazaar, Gumat, Raghunath Bazaar, Super Bazar, Raj Tilak Road, Rani Park in the old Jammu city while it received an overwhelming reception at Tikri and Ghari on the way. Thereafter, the nationalist rally reached Udhampur city and after passing through Town Hall, Gole Market, Slathia Chowk it proceeded to Srinagar.
Tiranga Rally was restrained at Patnitop by the battalion of police force from proceeding further which led to a vehicular jam on the highway for hours. The Panther leaders and activists had scuffle with the police who were arrested and detained at Police Post Patnitop which looked like a police cantonment. They were later released in the evening.
Infuriated by the unconstitutional arrest of Panther activists, Harsh lashed at the police personnel who restrained the rally from moving further at the behest of BJP led government in the State.
He questioned the State dispensation that under which rule of the land the peaceful rally was stopped to enter Kashmir to hoist the Tricolour.
Expressing extreme anguish over the BJP’s tall chauvinistic slogans biting dust, he lambasted the Saffron Party for shamefully bowing before the secessionist ideology of the anti national forces for remaining glued to the power. He said that it was quite evident from the recent incident of NIT row during which the nationalist students were assaulted, manhandled and booked under numerous criminal charges. He revealed that the persistent pusillanimity of the BJP before the dictates of secessionists had further emboldened the anti nationals which had led to the rise in seditious and socio-political turbulences in the country.
Singh asserted that Saffron Party’s pernicious intentions had been unveiled by today’s detention of the Panther activists and it had once again come to the fore that the felons waving ISIS flags in Kashmir were spared untouched while the nationalists unfurling the Tricolour were detained, arrested and harassed. He said that this new jurisprudence embraced by the BJP was not only dangerous to the national integrity but treacherous and perfidious in nature as well.
Launching a scathing attack on the Saffron Party for playing the politics of duplicity, deceit and betrayals, Harsh said that the people of India and Jammu Pradesh in particular were feeling cheated by the Saffron party’s skullduggery and dual standards.
He said that the BJP had politically maneuvered its nationalistic manifesto to lure the voters in the country and the State only to take the reins of power and despicably shunned its kernel philosophy later on thus exposing its pseudo nationalist character. He added that while the governments in the various states including Delhi, Haryana and Punjab provided full cooperation to the JKNPP’s Tiranga Rally with the security agencies in all the states providing full security cover to the entire cavalcade all through the way but the BJP partnered government provided the most abominable and contemptuous treatment to the said rally. He added that the frequent traffic jams en route to Kashmir appeared to have been politically contemplated only to sabotage the noble mission.
Accusing the NDA Government over its soft stand towards Kashmiri secessionists of late, Balwant and Kundal wondered that how could Central Government allow the Hurriyat leaders to meet High Commissioner of Pakistan when the entire country was burning with outrage triggered by BJP’s false promises and meek surrenders. They disclosed that during the erstwhile Central Governments when the secessionist leaders were allowed to meet the High Commissioner of Pakistan, BJP would vociferously oppose the meetings and create ruckus but unfortunately it had taken an obnoxious U- turn on the issue by hoodwinking the people. The NPP leaders maintained that their detention would not deter their spirits as it had only emboldened their determination to launch a massive movement to oppose, expose and depose the BJP in the days to come.
Among those leaders who were arrested and detained included Rajesh Padgotra, Sukhdev Singh, Dhani Ram Attri, Darshan Paroach, Sanjeet Sharma, Jagdev Jagga, Surjit Singh, Joginder Sharma, Sunil Gudda, Ajay Singh, Pawan Dev Singh, Ravinder Billowria, Balbir Happy, Rajinder Bali, Amar Singh, Arun Khajuria, Rajeshwar singh, Shankar Singh Chib, Naresh Chib, Rakesh Gupta, Gagan Pratap, Shyam Gorkha, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Purshottam Parihar, Neeraj Gupta, Rajesh Gondhi, Anil Rakwal and Udayveer.
