REASI : Reasi Police arrested a youth with 6 kg of Bhukki (Poppy straw) in Bakkal area, Reasi during its routine patrolling.
Acting on a specific input, a police team headed by ASI Gian Singh, In-Charge Police Post Jyotipuram during patrolling at Bakkal area, recovered 6 kg Bhukki from the possession of one Jagdish Singh son of Sansar Chand resident of Sujandhar District Reasi who was on way towards Reasi alongwith his associate namely Suram Singh son of Dharam Singh resident of Lamsoora Bandhar District Reasi. The accused person Jagdish Singh has been arrested, however Suram Singh escaped from the police team, efforts are on to nab him. The recovered poppy straw (Bhuki) has also been seized.
A case vide FIR No. 66/2016 under section 8/15 NDPS Act, was registered at Police Station Reasi against both the accused persons and investigation of the case taken up by Inspector Dalip Singh, SHO Reasi.
