Army, police save 24 lives at Mughal Road

SURANKOTE: Prompt action of army and police saved lives of 24 passengers on Saturday at Mughal Road.
A Minibus (JK02-AN1941) carrying 24 passengers including women and kids travelling from Faislabad to Dubjan met with an accident due to brake failure. The driver lost the control over the vehicle and drove the vehicle into the hills. The vehicle got damaged and passengers sustained injuries.
Personnel of army and police deployed at KM28 rushed to the site and recued the passengers to safety and provided them with first aid.
The quick reaction from police and army saved the life of passengers trapped in the vehicle.
Police made necessary arrangements to evacuate the passengers to Surankote. The timely action by the defence forces was appreciated by the locals.
