JAMMU: A review meeting of Zonal Education Officers of Jammu District was held under the chairmanship of Chief Education Officer Jammu regarding functioning of the schools and implementation of different schemes under RMSA/SSA.
During the meeting concerned ZEOs were directed to personally monitor the institution where Chief Minister’s super fifty programme has been initiated for providing coaching to aspirants of medical and engineering exams from Classes 9th to12th and also work hard to increase the enrolment of such students in the institution by motivating the parents. ZEOs were informed to ensure that these tutorials are run by best brain and inform the concerned head of the institutions to arrange expert faculty among the staff members for the programme. Further in order to have a vibrant institute imparting instructions at all levels from nursery to 12th class, the ZEOs were asked to inform concerned head of the institutions to equip a classroom of the institutions with all latest teaching aids and playway related learning equipments required for nursery students and ensure introduction of nursery classes in the institutions from ensuing session 2016-17. Also directions were give to the ZEOs regarding opening of evening classes in all the high and higher secondary schools in order to provide remedial teaching to slow learners and also to improve the academic standard of the institutions.
Further it was impressed upon all the ZEOs to maintain inspection register in the schools and record observation in the inspection register. The Chief Education Officer stressed upon the participants in the meeting to rededicate themselves for making education institutions as a change agents for social transformation / creation of good human resource and work with zeal, enthusiasm and dedications for the upliftment of the students and the society.
