JAMMU: Youth Congress workers on Tuesday held a protest against the BJP led Centre Government for steep and unreasonable hike in the petrol and diesel prices.
The protest was held under the leadership of Kunal Kohli, President, Youth Congress, Jammu East.
Kunal Kohli criticised the BJP government at the Centre for steep hike in the prices of petrol and diesel, which were announced recently.
He alleged that rather than adopting people friendly measures the Narender Modi led government is adding to the miseris of common man.
He demanded immediate roll back of increased prices of petrol and diesel in the interest of people.
On this occasion, Kohli also expressed his serious concern over decision of BJP led government at the Centre to allow Kashmiri separatists (Hurriyat Conference) to hold unconditional talks with Pakistan.
“This is an open treachery with the patriotic people of the country in general and of this State in particular as the BJP government at the Centre has compromised with the national interests,” he said.
Kohli urged the PDP-BJP alliance government in Jammu and Kashmir to press upon the Centre to review its decision in this regard.
Among those who took part in the protest included Divyansh Singh Jamwal and Akash Nayyar, General Secretaries; Gulshan, Rahul, Manik, Atul, Chander, Ram Lal, Sachin and others.
