Second JKP New Year Under-15 Tri-Series JKP Juniors XI scripts 19-run win in opening tie

JAMMU: JKP Juniors XI registered 19-run win in the Second JKP New Year Tri-Series for Under-15 boys being organised jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department and Christian Sports Organisation at Parade Ground, here on Sunday.
Batting first, JKP Juniors XI scored 101 runs in the allotted 16 overs for the loss of six wickets. Shivansh and Rohan Gill were the main scorers who scored 31 and 17 runs respectively.
For Christian Sports Juniors XI, Rahul took three wickets and Yuvraj clinched two.
In reply, Christian Sports Juniors XI failed to chase the target and was bundled out on 82 runs. Kanya was the main batsman who made 62 runs while Julius contributed 10 runs.
For JKP Juniors XI, Druv and Laith took two wickets each while Adhishvar, Shivansh and Naren shared one each. Shivansh was declared Man of the Match.
Earlier, Chief Guest, Mohan Lal, SSP Traffic Jammu in presence of
R.C Kotwal SP Headquarters, DySP City, Vivek Shekar, Rajesh Dhar, R.P Singh, Sunil Sambyal and Rajesh Gill Organsing Secretary inaugurated the tournament.
SSP Traffic conveyed his wishes to the budding cricketers of the participating teams for their bright future. The opening match was officiated by Danny, Nitu and Sandeep Manchanda while the proceedings of the inauguratAL function were conducted by R.P Singh.
The Organising Committee includes Hilal Rather, Sanjay Mahajan, Rajesh Gill, David Mattoo, Asif Gill, Rajesh Dhar, R.P Singh, Sunil Sambyal, Anand Tripathi and Sunny Gill.
