JAMMU: Jammu Police XI registered emphatic win against Khalsa Cricket Club and entered in the semifinal of the ongoing Fourth Eid Diwali Christmas T20 Cricket Cup, organised jointly by J and K Police, Simula Sports Club, Atman Sports Club and Christian Sports Organization at Parade Ground , here on Sunday. Earlier, in the quarter-final played today, Jammu Police XI, batting first, with the help of Ishtiaq’s brilliant 83 runs set a target of 195 runs for the loss of six wickets. Umar Nabi added 47 runs to the total. For Khalsa Cricket Club, Manu, Harpreet and Vishal took one wicket each. In reply, Khalsa Club tried hard to chase the target but they could not achieve it and was bowled out for 184 runs thus lost the match by 11 runs.
Vivek Singh and Harinder were the main scorers with 31 and 27 runs respectively. Skipper Rajesh Gill picked three wickets, while Amir and Ishtiaq shared two each for Police XI. Ishtiaq was declared Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Sanju and Danny.
