State Youth V’ball boys team leaves for Nagpur nationals

JAMMU: J&K State Youth Volleyball (Boys) team left for Nagpur, on Thursday, to take part in 18th Youth National Volleyball Championship which is being conducted from 30th January 2016 to 5th February 2016.
Prior to leaving for Nationals participation, the team underwent 12 days intensive coaching camp from 16th to 28th January 2016 organised by Volleyball Association of J&K at University of Jammu play grounds under the supervision of Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer (J) and Arjun Choudhary member of J&K State Sports Council, Jammu also wished the team for success in the championship and they also screened the state team for participation in the National Championship.
Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion also wished the team success in the National Championship.
Sidharth Daluja, President Volleyball Association of J&K also wished the team for better results in the National Championship.
The team consists of the following players/officials: Toufeeq Ishtyag of Bandipora, Mohd Shahijaba of Udhampur, Parteek Singh of Khour, Jammu, Akshay Partap Singh of Khour Jammu, Sandeep Singh of Pargwal Jammu, Ankush Kumar of Samba, Rajan Singh of Pallanwala, Ruben Teji of Udhampur, Akshay Kumar of 157-TA Jammu, Anil Singh of Jammu, Shubham Sharma of Samba and Sajad Ahmed of Ganderbal.
Abdul Ahad Shah, Mohd Tariq and Azhar Aziz are accompanying as Manager, Head Coach and Assistant Coach of Boys team. J&K State Boys team is placed in Pool-A and shall play their league matches against Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh.
