UDHAMPUR: A teenager girl committed suicide by hanging herself in her house here in Latti and other girl took poison in Udhampur.
According to a report, 19 years Sandhya Devi daughter of Kulbushan Kumar resident of Latti was found hanging in her room.
After not responding to repeated knocks at her room, her family members broke open the door and found her hanging.
They shifted her to nearby health center from where she was further referred to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared her brought dead. Police handed over her body to family members after the autopsy to perform last rites and registered a case for investigation.
Meanwhile, 18 years Rekha Devi daughter of Sandeep Kumar resident of Omallah took some poisonous substances in her house to end her life. On seeing her lying unconscious, her family members shifted her to District Hospital Udhampur. Condition of the victim was stated to be stable till filing last report.
Ramnagar Police has registered a case for investigation.
