KISHTWAR: A three story building housing shops and Office of Cooperative was gutted in fire late last night at Chatroo area of Distt Kishtwar.
According to sources , the building belongs to two brothers identified as Ghulam Nabi and Ghulam Mohidin sons of Faiz Ullah Mattoo resident of Passerkoot, Chhatroo.
People after noticing the smoke from the building informed police and fire tenders.
Local people along with fire tenders and police doused the fire but by that time the building was completely gutted however fire was controlled from spreading to nearby structures.
The building housed a mobile shop belonging to Irshad Ahmed son of Ghulam Mohd Rather resident of Kushan Dadpeth,Tea Stall belonging to Som Nath son of Shiv Ram resident of Trashi, Chhatroo and one shop used as store belonging to Farooq Ahmed Malik son of Ahmed Malik resident of Kashmir at present Chhatroo. The reason behind fire was believed to be short circuit.
