AKHNOOR: Former Union Minister and President National Conference, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Sunday inaugurated Choudhary Hospital in Akhnoor.
Dr Gafoor Ahmed, Chairman of Choudhary Hospital presented welcome address and highlighted the facilities being provided to the people by the hospital.
On the occasion, Dr Farooq Abdullah was the Chief Guest, MLA Kangan Mian Altaf, MLA Nagrota Devender Singh Rana, former Minister Surjeet Singh Slathia, former Minister Dr Kamal Mustafa, Rattan Lal Gupta were the Guests of Honour.
Dr Farooq Abdullah extended warm wishes to Dr Gafoor Choudhary for opening this hospital in the Akhnoor belt and hoped that this will extend great benefit to the people of area.
“Prior to opening of this hospital the people of Akhnoor area were rushed to Jammu hospitals during the critical hours now the hospital will benefit the people of Akhnoor area so that they are not rushed to Jammu or Punjab,” he said, exhorting upon the team of Choudhary Hospital to serve the people of Akhnoor area by extending their best facilities.
Dr Gafoor Ahmed said Choudhary Hospital is committed to provide efficient, timely and patient-friendly healthcare services to its patients, through best medical practices in a clean, healthy and rejuvenating environment.
“The hospital provides bets health care services of international standard, at reasonable cost, by having state-of-the-art infrastructure, varied spectrum of clinical services, highly qualified and experienced professionals, dedicated staff and patient friendly culture,” he added.
Dr Farzan Ahmed, in his address said that the hospital was conceptualised by Dr Gafoor Ahmed with the vision of promoting world-class healthcare amongst the masses by providing quality and affordable medical care with commitment. About 25 years ago, Dr Gafoor laid the foundation stone of his dreams by starting a nursing home at Akhnoor Tehsil.
Now after rendering services for the last 25 years, a full-fledged hospital has been started by Dr Gafoor Ahmed, he added.
Dr Farzan Ahmed added that the hospital offers wide range of medicare and OPD facilities including orthopedics, general physician, gynaecologist, paediatrics etc. besides this 24X7 emergency services, lab facilities, X-ray, ECG, ultrasound are also available under one roof. Uterus operation of ladies, caesarean and normal delivery, laser surgery for gall bladder, kidney operation, prostate operation, appendics operation, piles operation, varicose operation, bones operation , physiotherapy, eye and ENT operation are also added in the services of the Choudhary Hospital. He that CT Scan and MRI facilities will also shortly be available in the hospital premises which will add one more feather to the wings of Choudhary Hospital.
