New Rainbow School celebrates Silver Jubilee

JAMMU: New Rainbow Public High School celebrated its 25th Silver Jubilee at Police Auditorium.
Former Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah was the Chief Guest of the function. Besides Mohammad Sayed Akhoon and Ajay Sadhotra were the Guests of Honour. Kamal Gupta President Private School Association was Presiding Guest. The other dignitaries who attended the function were Devender Rana and Ratan Lal Gupta.
The function started with the welcome address by Incharge Teacher, Sindhu Sasan followed by Ganesh Vandana, where students enthralled the audience.
The Annual Report of the school was presented by Navneet Singh, Committee Member of the School. The students presented various colourful items which were appreciated by everyone. The Kindergarten group presented fancy dress on various concepts, saving blood and donating eyes. They also tapped on the Nursery rhyme, songs- Aao Tumhe Chand Pe Le Jayen, Nanhe Munne Bache. The skit Ser Pe Sava Ser made everyone laugh.
The highlights of the programme were the Panj Tara and The New Rainbow Bhangra Group which forced the audience to tap on their feet. The prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries to the distinction holder students and the students who participated in the inter house competitions. The Padam Shree Dr. H.S Rissam Memorial Award was presented to Neena Sharma who got 12th position in 8th board exam.
In the end, mementos were presented to Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, Presiding Guest by the Principal, Director of the School Harinder Pal Singh and President School Committee J.S. Rissam.
The vote of thanks was presented by the Principal Joginder Kour.
