JAMMU: Jodhamal Public School on Saturday organised the Farewell 2016 with fanfare. Class XI planned it so meticulously that even the teachers appreciated their efforts of organising the event so successfully.
The event started with lighting of torch led by Head Boy Abhijit Kumar Arora, Head Girl Akanksha Sharma, Deputy Head Girl Muskan Gupta, Deputy Head Boy Dhruv Jain and the Principal Trilok Singh Bist.
Class XI started the event with the cake cutting by the Senior Prefect Council. The talk show saw some of the seniors being interviewed.
A documentary prepared by Class XI was featured for all Class XII students to relive their 11 years at the school. Messages from Trustees Nandan Kuthiala, Arati Kuthiala, Principal, Vice Principal all PGTs and TGTs made the environment emotional for each member of Jodhamal. Dancing on the Retro Theme the students made everyone get transformed to the early seventies and eighties.
The Hip Hop performance by Snober, Mayank, Apoorv and the group made every one appreciate the good work.
The students showcased their multifaceted talents in the dances, drama, singing and talk shows. The way students hosted the programme was a true treat to the eyes. The title ceremony saw each child receive the title and a gift hamper with the CD of the Documentary prepared specially for them. Shivam Sharma received the title of being the Most Innocent student of the year.
An array of activities for the seniors was organised by the juniors and then came the ramp walk, question answer rounds and the final judgment for the coveted titles of the year. Akanksha Sharma was decorated as the Miss Jodhamal and Neel Shivam was adjudged as the Mr. Jodhamal. Dhruv Jain as Mr. Perfect and Rijuta Mahajan as Miss Perfect; Prerak Bist as Mr. Well Dressed with Deepika Bhau as Miss Well Dressed ; Subrat Sharma got the title of the Mr. Charming and Arpita Salgotra as the Miss Charming of the Evening. All the titles were decorated by the Principal Trilok Singh Bist and Vice Principal Monika Sethi.
Under the guidance of Ashima Sharma, teacher, the team of Class XI organised the event in commendable manner. Present on the occasion were Nandan Kuthiala, Arati Kuthiala, Nirmaljeet Singh, Chitranjan Magotra, Radhika Sharma, Sanjeev Khosla, Ashish Mahajan, Prashmi Sharma and all the staff members and students of Jodhamal.
