JAMMU: Government MAM College clinched the annual inter-college kabaddi trophy after they downed Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura by 21 (34-18) points in the final played at University of Jammu (JU) fields, here on Friday.
Earlier, in the semifinals, again played today, GDC Paloura outplayed GDC Kathua by a small margin of four (36-32) points while MAM College trounced GDC Mendhar by a big gap of 20 (42-22) points. Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel including Ankush Chib, Rakesh Kumar, Amandeep Singh, Rockey Sharma and Gagan Kumar.
The title trophy was
presented to MAM
College by Director Sports and Physical Education, JU, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau. Also present were Prof M.S Saini, Naraini Jamwal, Balbir Chib, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Amit Sharma, Jasmeet Singh, Rakesh Sharma, Dr Brij Biloria and Romesh Sharma. This tournament was organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, JU under the supervision of Event Incharge, Gagan Kumar.
