Various issues taken up in police public meeting

BHADARWAH: Sajjad Ahmed, SDPO Bhadarwah along with In-Charge Police Post Thanala visited Village Bheja and conducted police public meeting with the respectable of area, which was attended by about 70 people including Sarpanchs/Panchs, members of social and political groups and prominent citizens/local of the area.
During the course of meeting, the participants put forth their demands which include construction of Bheja Thanala Link Road, replacement of wooden electricity poles with iron poles in the area, opening of sheep husbandry centre at village Sharekhi, early execution of work for construction of water tank, continuous electricity supply, providing of sufficient medicines at Health Sub Centers of Katyara/Bheja, providing of uniform to Chowkidars/ Numberdar.
The participants were assured that their genuine demands will be taken up with concerned departments for redressal and those pertaining to the Police Department will be redressed on priority.
Sajjad Ahmed, urged upon the participants to co-operate and strengthen the hands of police, so that the social crime, smuggling of drugs, bovine, illicit liquor, forest produce etc be eradicated from the area. Moreover, they were asked to maintain peace and communal harmony in the area and be aware of rumour mongers, who are trying to disturb the congenial atmosphere in the area particularly in the forthcoming Republic Day celebration-2016.
