Div Com to flag off Shri Guru Ravi Dass Shobha Yatra on Feb 20

JAMMU: A delegation of All J and K Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha led by State General Secretary, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Rakesh Wazir and Sabha President Piran Ditta met Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Pawan Kotwal and Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Simrandeep Singh and discussed in detail the modalities with regard to the annual procession-cum-Shobha Yatra to be taken out by the Sabha on the Parkash Utsav of Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj.
The delegation members gave a formal letter to Divisional Commissioner for flagging off the Shobha Yatra to be taken out on 20th February.
Wazir, while speaking on the occasion, said that time has come where the teachings of the Guru Ravi Dass ji showing equality, justice and great values to be taught to each and every member of the society are brought out and this occasion is the best platform for that.
Piran Ditta, while briefing the Divisional Commissioner, said that the proposed Shobha Yatra will be taken out on 20th February at 11:00 AM and its proposed route after starting from Shri Guru Ravi Dass Temple Krishna Nagar would be Guru Ravi Dass Chowk, Bhagat Singh Chowk, JP Chowk, Bus Stand, Indra Chowk, Shalamar Chowk, Parade Ground, Raj Tilak Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar, Raghunath Mandir Chowk, Sunder Singh Gurudwara Road, Swami Viveka Nand Chowk, Fortune Hotel etc. and before culminating will get enthralled by the sermons of great Sri Sri 108 Guru Gurdeep Giri ji Maharaj and thereafter the Bhandara will be performed.
Pawan Kotwal listened to the delegation patiently and besides accepting the invitation of the delegation for flagging off the Shobha Yatra assured that every effort would be made for its smooth and successful conduct.
The delegation among others comprised of Raj Kumar Raja, Darshan Lal Angral, Om Parkash Dhingra and Raj Kumar Raju.
