JAMMU: Kissan Khet Mazdoor Congress on Thursday staged a protest against the Jammu Municipal Corporation for failing to maintain the Rotary Park of Subhash Chandra Bose.
Led by Vice Chairman of the Union, Bharat Priye, the activists assembled at Mahespura Chowk and raised slogans against the municipal corporation.
While addressing the protesters, Bharat Priye said that the State is going to celebrate Birth Anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose on 23rd January and the state nodal agency JMC has failed to carry out any work to keep the park neat and clean and no proper arrangements have been seen on the ground.
He mentioned that the park has no proper sitting arrangements, high mast lights are not working, the park is in dilapidated condition etc.
He urged to the district administration to make necessary steps for the celebrations of Birth Anniversary of Subhash Chander Bose by cleaning the park and making proper arrangements for celebrations.
