BCC Akhnoor pays tributes to Mufti Sayeed

AKHNOOR: Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s commitments will always inspire political activists and those determined to serve the people with earnest and clear vision. This was stated by Senior Vice President JKPCC and former Minister Sham Lal Sharma here on Friday while addressing the monthly meeting of members of Block Congress Committee Akhnoor. The meeting was specially convened to pay tributes to Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and martyrs of Pathankot attack.
Sham said that Mufti was a great visionary and an experienced politician. He termed Mufti Sayeed as a true statesman and added that his death has created a vacuum in the arena of politics.
Expressing condolence, he prayed to almighty to bestow peace on the departed soul and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this huge loss.
Sharma also paid rich tribute to Indian soldiers martyred in the terrorist attack at Pathankot Air Force Base in Punjab. He said, the real heroes of the country are the security forces who have once again shown their valour in the Pathankot attack. He also demanded cash award from J and K Government for martyr hailing from Samba district on the lines of other States. Two minutes silence was also observed in the meeting.
Manmohan Singh , Kuldeep Raj Verma, Ram Swaroop, Sham Choudhary, Subash Langer, Aman Gupta, Sarpanchs and Panchs were also present.
