REASI: Police on Wednesday arrested three persons in two different Nakas and recovered 122 pouches of liquor from their possession.
According to a report, a police party led by Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO Police Station Katra, acting on a specific information laid a Naka at Matyal Katra near petrol pump and during checking apprehended one person Gulzar Ahmed son of Sattar Ahmed resident of Matyal Katra Tehsil Katra district Reasi with 42 poly pouches J and K Excise Liquor.
A case under FIR No.03/2016 section 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra against the accused person.
Meanwhile, 80 poly pouches of J and K Excise Liquor were recovered from the possession of accused persons namely Mohd Ashraf son of Abdul Majeed and Mohd Shakeel son of Ghulam Shafi both residents of Mahore at Police Naka Kanthan by party led by Sub Inspector Ram Rattan, Incharge Police Station Arnas. Both the accused persons have been arrested and a case under FIR No.04/2016 U/S 48-A Excise Act, was registered at Police Station Arnas against the accused persons.
