RR to conduct cricket, kho-kho matches

UDHAMPUR: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalions at Kalal and Jhangar under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Uniform Force Headquarter, Reasi in coordination with the village level sports bodies is conducting Cricket and Kho-Kho matches for the youth of the remote areas.
In the run up to the Army Day festivities, The Kalal Cricket League consisting of eight teams from villages in the border areas will be played on a league
cum knock out basis at Kalal while the Kho -Kho competition for girls is being conducted at Government High School, Laroka.
More than 120 players will participate in the tourney which promises good sporting action following the `Ans Valley Sports Festival’ held recently at Samote.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohd Imran said that sports as an integral part of education facilitates friendship, communal harmony and brother hood.
