A haemophilic patient belonging to the Batwal community who had hospitalised in GMC, Jammu and was in serious condition, informed the association that Factor VIII which was urgently required to him for saving life, was not available in the hospital.
The association members said that as per the directions of the High Court of J and K, both GMC, Srinagar and GMC, Jammu are required to manage Factor VIII 24 hours throughout the year for saving life of the haemophilic patients but they were at a loss to understand as to why said medicine was not available in the hospital.
