AAP volunteers begin 3-day hunger strike

JAMMU: Expressing shock over the lack of proper sanitation facility in Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, Bakshi Nagar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers sat on three-day hunger strike in the premises of GMC.
“The members of AAP visited GMC Hospital which usually is overcrowded and saw pitiable condition of the bathrooms, toilets, hand-wash basins, which are not properly cleaned,” Advocate Sanjeev Kumar Sareen, a AAP member, told reporters.
Sanjeev said that even till today, after repeated reminder to Health Minister, when the AAP volunteers inspected the condition of the toilets, bathrooms, they saw the condition gone bad to worse.
“Being responsible citizens and to create awareness amongst the general public about the right and genuine demand AAP volunteers Raj Kumar Nischal and Vipul Bali sat on three days hunger strike and they will be joined and accompanied by other volunteers for relay hunger strike varying from one to two days namely Anita Gupta, Rani Devi, Himanshu Jandyal, Avinash Vohra, Balbir Singh and Sanjay Rakwal Jaffar,” he informed.
