JAMMU: The Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community living in Jagti Township on Monday threatened to launch a massive agitation against apathetic attitude of administration against neglect of the community.

In this regard, a meeting of Jagti inmates was held in which important issues confronting KPs in general and migrant camps in particular were discussed.

The meeting said that Relief and Rehabilitation Minister issued important instructions to solve the problems of migrants in a high level meeting convened with heads of various departments and Relief Commissioner. “Despite directions of the concerned minister, the Relief Commissioner and other departments have not initiated any measure to provide respite to the affected KP community which is in distress since long”, the meeting said.

The meeting warned Government to immediately address the problems otherwise KPs will be forced to launch a massive agitation against the Government and Relief Organisation.
