VIJAYPUR: All the contractual employees will hold State wide pen down Strike on 23rd June as informed by the President of Jammu and Kashmir Contractual Employees Association- Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
President of the Association Mohd. Shafi Peer also informed that decision of 11th Meeting of Executive Committee was given regarding enhancement of salary of contractual employees engaged under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan but till date has not been issued due to the reasons well known to the State Project Director SSA J and K State .
He also informed that if our demand of issuance of order for enhancement of salary of SSA contractual is not fulfilled on 23rd June then all the SSA contractual employees will go on indefinite strike.
Vice President of APs and DEOs Association Jammu Samba District Rajiv Kumar also asked all the SSA contractual employees including Assistant Programmers (APs), Data Entry Operators(DEOs), Junior Engineers (JEs), Orderlies etc. to hold complete strike on 23rd June at their district headquarters.
It is pertinent to mention here that these SSA contractuals are working on contractual basis for the last 14 to 10 years under SSA but successive Govt’s. have not taken any steps to regularise them and now they are forced to hold statewide strike for enhanced salary, informed Rajiv Kumar.
