POONCH: Stadium XI defeated Poonch XI by 1-0 in the exhibition football match organised by District Police Poonch under Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium Poonch, here on Friday.
DDC Poonch, Nissar Ahmed Wani was the Chief Guest, who gave away prizes to winner and runner up teams.
The match was officiated by Tarlochan Singh.
SSP Poonch, Jatinder Singh Johar, while speaking on the occasion, reiterated the role of District Police Poonch for organizing different sporting events in the district and to provide the platform to players of different games for enhancing their talent and channelize their energies.
He exhorted upon the players to exhibit spirit of true sportsmanship spirit and inculcates among themselves discipline besides maintaining the best tradition of communal harmony and brotherhood for overall development of the nation.
District Police Poonch encourage the players and officiating staff/Coach by giving them 30 football dresses, two footballs, one goal posts net and four corner parts.
Prominent among those who present on the occasion included Mohd Rafi Giri-DySP DAR, Sagar Singh Slathia-DySP CDB, Pardeep Khanna, Nirdosh Kumar-I/C Sports Stadium Poonch and Prem Parkash Luthra.
