JK Public School students leave for Himachal trekking

JAMMU: A group comprising 46 young students, including 18 girls of JK Public School Panjtirthi on Wednesday left for Dharmshala in Himachal Pradesh to participate in a trekking programme organised by Tawi Trekking, J and K.
Part of the Silver Jubilee Himalyan Trekking Programme, the group was flagged off by Advisor of Tawi Trekkers and Coordinator of Dogri Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy, New Delhi, Prof Lalit Magotra from MA Stadium, here.
The group is accompanied by trained mountaineer, Manik Slathia and two other school teachers, Vikas Aryan Gupta and Mamta Gupta.
“This was our eighth group flagged off today for ongoing Himalyan trekking programme. Before these young students left for Dharmshalla, they were briefed by the Secretary of the Club, Shwatica Khajuria, who is also accompanying the trekkers,” informed Vice President of Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria.
