SRINAGAR: Chairman, Kashmir Society, Khwaja Farooq Renzushah and ex-Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), G.N Qasba on Tuesday flagged off marathon race, organised by City FM, prominent social network radio, here.
The Chief of city FM, Tariq Salfi and Arshid Dar welcomed Chief Guests and dignitaries as well as participants of grand race which started at wee hours from Pratab Park Lal Chowk to Nehru Park.
Besides numerous dignitaries and personalities large number of girls and boys, students of various schools participated in the Race which was symbol of mutual love and brotherhood.
Renzushah and Qasba encouraged youth to participate in all such sports related activities which will not only strengthen their physical capacities but also strengthen the concept of mutual brotherhood and unity.
They hoped that success of today’s marathon race will be continued and in future human unity chains will be established in all parts of city to boost sports related programmes.
