KATHUA: A meeting of Teachers Co-ordination Committee was held at Billawar under the chairmanship of Amar Nath Thakur Provincial President School Education Employees Co Ordination Committee Jammu to discuss the teachers problems of Zone Malhar. In the meeting large number of teachers participated and put forth their demands which include non adjustment of 10 per cent deducted amount of teachers under NPS Scheme (SSA) and matching share since 1st Jan 2010 to May 2013 amounting Rs 60 lakh.
An enquiry was also conducted by CEO Kathua and DC Kathua but GPF of teachers is still unadjusted which is a matter of great concern, it was mentioned. All the teachers demanded adjustment of their GPF immediately and issuing the GPF statements to all teachers as per Director School Education Jammu vide Order no.122 DSEJ of 2015 dated 31st March 2015.
Teachers complained that ZEO is not issuing the GPF statements in the light of RTI Act 2009 which is in violation of law, clearing pending liability of MDM for the year 2014-2015, handing office charge of ZEO Mathar to Jr. Assisstant, ZEPO Malhar of teacher constitution committee to conduct enquiry of GPF bunglings by CEO Kathua, non completion of service books of teachers by ZEO Malhar, releasing arrears of teachers under SRO 222 of 2011 and non distribution of complete sets of free text books for students.
All the teachers with one voice also proposed that elections for zonal body Zone Malhar may be conducted as the previous elected body has completed five years term.
Addressing the teachers in the meeting Amar Nath Thakur said that their demand of non – adjustment of 10 per cent deducted amount and matching share has been taken up with CEO Kathua and he has assured the adjustment of deducted amount amounting Rs 60 lakhs. A committee has been constituted in this regard also. He said GPF statements will also be got issued by ZEO Malhar as per DSE Jammu’s order.
A Co-ordination Committee of teachers was appointed under the chairmanship of Ram Dass Master to conduct the elections before 25th july 2015 for Malhar zone.
