UDHAMPUR: A house wife working with PWD as daily wager attempted suicide by cutting veins of her hand with a blade in premises of PWD Office.
According to a report, Shafiqa working as daily wager with PWD in Udhampur cut vein of her hand with sharp blade to attempt suicide. She was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where her condition was stated be stable. Police has registered a case and launched the investigation. Sources disclosed that victim being daily wager engaged with PWD has not been paid her due salary for the last couple of months, that too despite her repeated requests which forced her to take extreme step.
