BHADARWAH: Bhadarwah Campus, University of Jammu to hold State level T20 Cricket tournament in the last week of June, 2015.
In this regard a meeting of the university officials and senior cricketers of different clubs of Bhadarwah was held in the office of Rector Bhadarwah Campus.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. G.M Bhat, Rector Bhadarwah Campus.
“The main objective behind organising this event is to engage the youth of the State in general and Chenab Valley in particular in sports activities and save them from being fall prey to drugs and other bad habits,” Prof. Bhat said adding “It is the need of the hour to channelize the energy of youth in sports and other activities to inculcate discipline and punctuality among them.”
During the meeting deliberations were held to improve the infrastructure to the mark to make this Cricket tournament one of the best event of the Jammu and Kashmir State.
For the smooth conduct of the upcoming Tournament , Prof. Bhat, who is also the Chairman/Patron of the tournament, constituted a nine-member advisory committee comprising senior cricketers of the different clubs of Bhadarwah.
Others present in the meeting were Chhering Tundop, Arif Haleem Khateeb, Haris Riaz , Manzer Saleem Malik , Imran Malik , Sameer Malik Rahul Sharma and Rahat Mughal.
