JAMMU: Demanding regularisation policy for the workers engaged after 1994, Jammu and Kashmir PWD Casual Labourers Union held a protest.
Amid slogans in support of their demands, the protestors urged the Government to frame regularisation policy for all causal workers, who are working in the department for the past over a decade. They also demanded release of wages under proper wages head.
They also expressed anguish meted out by the previous State Government by making false promises for regularization of around 1336 casual labours working in PW(R&B) Department.
“There are no provisions for our welfare and neither any steps are taken in order to meet our interest nor any funds were sanctioned for the wages of the Casual Labourers,” he said adding that this non serious attitude of government will force to proceed on Kaam Chhoro Hartal.
He appealed to all casual labourers of PWD (R&B) Department to come forward and join their struggle.
Bhanu Partap Singh, Naresh Kumar Sharma, Aijaz Ahmad, Satish Kumar Sharma, Jogesh Bhau and Ajay Bansotra, Sunil, Ravi Kumar, Himmet Singh, Rohit Kumar, Ganesh Khajuria, Rajat Khajuria, Dinesh Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Yograj Sharma, Shiv Darshan Singh, Vijinder Singh, Vijay, Riaz Mughal, Shoba Ram, Suresh Kumar, Jeet Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Yash Paul, Parveen Kumar, Kishore, Shiv, Ankush Sharma and Sanjeev Suri were also present.
