‘Wrong decisions, discrimination mar working of JKBOSE’
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: The results of 199 students of Kashmir Division were wrongly printed due to the negligence of coding officers hired by the J and K BOSE in the recently held Class 12th examination of 2015.
This was stated by Rajesh Choudhary, President Employees Association J&K State Board of School Education (JK BOSE), Jammu Division, while briefing media persons here on Thursday.
Choudhary said that the Officiating Chairman/ Secretary JKBOSE has hired coding officers from outside the Board for declaring results in the shortest possible time thus resulting into startling mistakes. “This has lead to grave mistakes in the mark sheets issued to 199 students of Kashmir. Later, the mark sheets were re-issued to the students after published a notice in the local dailies by the board authorities”, he added.
Choudhary also expressed concern over the low quality mark sheets being issued to the students. He alleged that the parents of students reached the Board office and complained about the low quality of paper and ink used in preparing the mark sheets. He further alleged that the Officiating Chairman/ Secretary JKBOSE has misused his position and authorised his Section Officer to print the mark-sheets of Class 12th students from Delhi for her personnel benefit.
He asserted that being headless JKBOSE has become the source of harassment and victimisation. The employees of JKBOSE Jammu Division are being discriminated due to absence of a dedicated head while the demands of their counterparts in Kashmir were met on priority.
Choudhary said that Officiating Chairman/ Secretary JKBOSE Prof Veena Pandita has adopted a hostile attitude towards the BOSE employees and created fear psychosis into the minds of employees thus hampering the smooth functioning of JKBOSE. He alleged that Pandita is helping blue-eyed by facilitating for them the choicest place of posting.
In order to bring to an end the anarchy and chaos created by the Officiating Chairman/Secretary, Choudhary appealed to the State Government to repatriate Prof. Veena to parent department and order probe into the misuse of financial and administrative powers by her during her tenure of officiating Chairman/ Secretary.
He also appealed to the State Government to order for the appointment of honest and dedicated Chairman and Secretary in J and K BOSE, who will work for the welfare of the employees in general and student community in particular.
He demanded departmental promotions for various cadres, transparent transfer policy, restoration of risk allowance to the employees and regularisation of daily wagers/consolidated workers who have completed their seven years of satisfactory service.
He also demanded implementation of new recruitment and promotion rules for the employees of JKBOSE, purchase of Land/Buildings for the Sub/Branch offices, recovery of amount which is lying with the Education Department on account of supply of textbooks and appointment of permanent Junior Assistants.
