MISHRIWALLA: In an impressive function organised at Panchayat Ghar Mishriwalla by Department of Agriculture, zone Mishriwalla flood relief cheques were distributed among the farmers of Panchayat lower Bhalwal including village Pakhian Pandorian, Hassurwan Kullian, Suka Pakhian.
A total of Rs.94000 flood relief was distributed among these farmers whose crops has been damaged due to heavy rains and flash flood during September 2014.
The cheques were distributed by Zonal Officer Mishriwalla Mohan Singh in presence of Sarpanch Mishriwalla Gurbachan Singh and Naib Tehsildar Mishriwalla Murad Ali.
An official of the department told that this flood relief was the 40 per cent amount released by the government whereas 60 per cent will be distributed soon when the rest amount was sanctioned.
Others who were present in the function include JAEO Arun Jaral VAEA Jasvinder Singh and REZ Krishan Singh, Gurdeep Chowdhary.
