BARI BRAHMANA: The students of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan participated in the inter school district level athletic meet and brought laurels by winning medals.
The meet was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Samba at Kehli Mandi Ground in which about 500 students participated.
10 students of HPS participated in under–17 and under–14 yrs (Boys).
In U-17, Gurdeep Singh of 10th standard won gold medal in Tripple Jump and Murad Bhatti of 10th standard got bronze medal in shot-put.
In U-14, Pushpinder Kumar of 8th standard won bronze medal in 600 mtr race and Mohin Bhatti of 8th standard bagged bronze medal in Shot-put.
The students of the school who participated in this Athletic Meet were honoured in the special assembly by Gaurav Charak (Principal), Anku Charak (Vice Principal), Mahan Singh (PTI), Surekha and Ajay Sharma (Sports Incharge) along with the staff members.
Principal said that the school management is paying focused attention to promote Physical Education in school and in this regard sports infrastructure will be upgraded in the school for providing platform to the students to take part in different sports activities at district, State and national levels.
