JAMMU: J and K Women’s Development Corporation (JKWDC) organised an awareness camp in collaboration with Kalamkari Centre Society (KCS) Jammu on Friday at village Kapai Di Ban in Tehsil Nagrota of Jammu District regarding various loan facilities available through J and K WDC for skilled, semi skilled and unskilled women of the State. The camp was started with the speeches of Jyoti Bhat PO KCS and Rifat Qamar District Manager JKWDC, Jammu who explained about various schemes run by the J and K WDC for the school dropout and the ones who could not complete their studies with one or the other reason. The loan facilities for different programmes i.e. cosmetic shop , crockery shop , boutique , dairy farming, agro based programmes like pickle making etc. were discussed in detail. The participants showed keen interests in these trades. The loan can be availed by the girl beneficiary at 6 per cent simple interest. The main thrust was made on the importance of technical courses which will take them towards self employment. The scheme benefits of NMDFC , NDCFDC and NHFDC and loans facilities are offered at very low interest rate by these agencies through JKWDC which are beneficial for improving their life styles. The educational loan can also be availed by the girl child to continue her further education.
