37 bovines rescued, 4 smugglers nabbed

MAHORE: Police on Thursday foiled a bovine smuggling by rescuing 24 bovines and arresting a smuggler.
According to a report, a specific information was received at Police Post Dewal that some persons are on-way towards Kashmir along with bovines.
On this, a police team from Police Post Dewal under the supervision of Inspr. Romal Singh, SHO Police Station Mahore, Ayaz Ahmed,SDPO Mahore, Sanjay Singh Rana, Addl. SP Reasi and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi rushed to the spot and apprehended one bovine smuggler namely Mushtaq Ahmed son of Abdul resident of Dhamal Hanjipura Kulgam, District Reasi and rescued 24 bovines from his possession.
A case under FIR No.49/2015 section 188 RPC stands registered at Police Station Mahore and investigation is in progress.
Meanwhile, on specific information, a police party led by SHO Ramban Inspr Ajay Singh Chib, under the supervision of Dy.SP DAR Joginder Singh and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar, laid a special Naka at Shan Palace Ramban and intercepted two Mahindra Mobiles bearing registration No. JK05A- 5374 and JK14B- 9570.
During checking of both the vehicles, 13 bovines in total were found to be loaded in the vehicles in a cruel manner.
On this, drivers of vehicles namely Tariq Hussain son of Peer Wazir resident of Jakhani Udhampur and Mohd Shabir son of Feroz Din resident of Chenani were arrested along with one associate namely Babar Hussain son of Gulam Mohd resident of Batote.
A case under FIR No. 63/2015 section 188 RPC 3 PCA Act was registered against them at Police Station Ramban.
