SRINAGAR: Body of a youth, who went missing last month, was fished out from river Jhelum near here, prompting police to start inquest proceedings.
28-year-old Adil Ahmad Wani, a resident of Galib Abad near HMT, went missing on May 14 and his body was fished out from river Jhelum at Shivpora under Ram Munshi Bagh police station here, a police spokesman said.
He said the body was recovered late last evening and handed over to his kin for last rites after completion of legal formalities. (PTI)
