BHADARWAH: The three day science awareness Mela which was organised by National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society (NCURDS) Jammu at Govt. Hr. Secondary School Kilhotran concluded on Tuesday.
The programme which was attended by hundreds of students and teachers drawn from various schools was being supported and catalysed by National Council for Science and Technological Communications (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
During the programme various resource persons performed some science activities which were followed by a colorful valedictory function.
The valedictory function was presided over by Basharat Hussain In-Charge Principal Govt. HSS Kilhotran, whereas Major Rizwan 26 Rashtriya Rifles and Zafferuallah Khan Secretary NCURDS were the Guest of Honour on the
occasion.
During the three day programme, Mala enthralled the students with the help of puppetry whereas Neha, Rohini and Ashish were the resource persons for food adulteration, science behind miracles and nature study.
Dr. Ashiq Hussain helped in concepts of Chemistry while performing fun chemistry experiments whereas Arshad Hussain helped the students with concepts in physics. Javed and Vikas of Pune Maharashtra performed some simple tasks for understanding great concepts in science to the students.
Later on Dr. Ashiq Hussain in his address during valedictory function said that this programme was first of its kind in the area and was appreciated by one and all.
Programme coordinator Kuldeep Gupta thanked the Management of EESSCS and GHSS Kilhotran for lending a helpin hand in organising the event.
