RAMBAN: Police on Tuesday arrested one drug peddler and recovered 450gm Charas from his possession.
According to a report, acting on a specific input, a police party led by Inspr. Ajay Singh Chib, SHO Police Station Ramban under the supervision of Joginder Singh, Dy. SP DAR and Randeep Kumar, SSP Ramban, laid a trap near Shan Palace during the intervening night of 1st -2nd June 2015. During checking of vehicles, a Maruti Car No. JK13B-0776 driven by one Shabir Ahmed alias Chowda son of Firoz Din resident of Bhati, Ramban was intercepted and during search 450 Gms of Charas was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly the accused has been arrested and a case under FIR No. 62/2015 section 8/20 NDPS was registered at Police Station Ramban.
