KATRA: Wrestler Benia Min of Basantgarh of J&K Police lifted the 3rd Annual Nomain Kesari Vishal Dangal Title 2015 organized by Kotli-Bajallian Nomain Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma, Chairman Nomain Dangal Committee Ved Parkash Pujari and General Secretary Mohd. Sharif at Nomain in Tehsil and District Reasi.
In all, 60 bouts were played in this Vishal Dangal.
In the first main bout wrestler Benia Min defeated wrestler Teejbeer of Satyaban Akhara Rohtak. The winner Benia Min was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 18,000 while runner-up wrestler Tejbeer got Rs. 13,000. Prize money was given by DSP Katra Dr Ashok Sharma, SHO Katra Kuldeep Krishan, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Ved Parkash Pujari.
Dy SP Katra Dr Ashok Sharma was the Chief Guest in the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the winner and runner-up. President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association who is also president Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra Shiv Kumar Sharma provided over the functions.
SHO Katra Kuldeep Kishan, Social worker & Hotelier Suraj Prakash and Sarpanch Romesh Chander Chowdhary were the Guests of Honour.
General Secretary District Reasi Indian Style Wrestling Association Naresh Kumar (Pappu lakri), Girdwar Katra Vijay Kumar, Patwari Katra Uttam Singh, Treasurer District Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association Satish Kumar, Retd. Master Santosh Kumar, Sarpanch Ratten Singh, Ram Parkash Sharma and Om Parkash Magotra were the prominent person who were present on the occasion.
The second main bout was won by Kaka of R.S Pura who defeated Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu, 3rd bout was won by Tinku of Ludhiana who defeated Nisar Ahmed of Doda, 4th bout was won by Zaker of Sarore who defeated Roshan Lal of J&K Police, 5th bout was won by Sonu of Rohtak who defeated Kalu of Bishnah and 6th bout was won by Ajay Sharma of Udhampur who defeated Akram of Bajrangi Akhara.
Members of Nomain Dangal Committee and technical officials who helped for conduct of this one day long wrestling event included Ved Parkash (Chairman), Mohd. Sharif (General Secretary), Preetam Chand, Mohan Lal, Karan Singh, Manohar Lal, Bittu Mohd, Jagdish Kumar, Sham Lal, Om Parkash, Magotra, Om parkash Karnathia, Virender Kumar, Madan Lal, Baldev Lohar, Ram Krishan Kanathia, Bal Krishan, Prem Nath, Som Raj, Janaku, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Deepak Wazir, Murli Dhar (Munna) and Rajinder Kumar Ramotra.
