RAJOURI: Police on Sunday arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 3,700 mg smack/heroin from their possession.
According to a report, a police party under the supervision of Dy. SP Ops. Iftkhar Ahmed and SHO Police Station Rajouri Inspr. Yashpaul Singh on the direction of SSP Rajouri Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal laid a Naka at Kallar Chowk, Chingus.
During checking, they apprehended three notorious drug peddlers namely Shafiq Ahmed son of Mohd Afzal resident of Bella Colony, Naseem Rajab Dar son of Mohd Rajab Dar resident of Ward No 10 and Irfan son of Screem Mughal resident of Kallar and recovered 3,700 mg of smack/heroin from their possession which they were smuggling via interior street of city.
These drug peddlers were traveling on a red coloured Krrisma Bike (without number) from Jammu to Rajouri. A case under FIR No 287/2015 section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Rajouri and further investigation is going on to unearth the modus operandi of the of the drug peddlers and their nexus with other local and non local associates.
