JAMMU: MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) on Saturday toured Shakti Nagar area with JMC officials and thoroughly reviewed the works for cleaning of Nallah by track excavator.
Pertinent to mention, the Nallah was the biggest source of pollutant in the area and was causing serious problems for the locals.
On the direction of MLA Jammu West, the work for cleaning of the Nallah was started and the work is being supervised under Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Within a short span of time the newly purchased machine by JMC, 250 tippers of garbage has already been disposed off by the Track Excavator.
Sat Sharma lauded the works of JMC and said that the works for cleaning of Nallah will be over within few days. He said that the locals reported the problems concerning the same and it is for the welfare of the public that these works will be taken up in the other parts of the constituency as well where such problems are persisting.
He said after the disposal of garbage it came into knowledge that the bed of the Nallah has also been damaged and he directed the concerning department UEED to look into the matter for repairing the bed of the Nallah.
CTO JMC Deepak Gupta, AEE JMC Suresh Gupta, JE JMC Sanjeev, JE JMC Gursharan Singh, BJP Mandal President Ayodhya Gupta, Rakesh Mishra Bedu, Surinder Choudhary, Sanjay Sawhney, Naresh Sharma Mantu, Neeraj Tony, Ankush, Inderjeet Verma, Rajan Sharma, Joginder and Rohit Mangotra were also present.
