Progeny, the hidden treasure
Dear Editor,
Our progeny comprising multicoloured nursery of talented male and girl children constitute a huge potential for building up a strong launching platform for the vibrant nation to take a quantum jump to notch up the most coveted respectable ranking amongst the bevy of top developed nations for leading the world in a commanding style.
This is absolutely possible provided we do our homework meticulously and chart out a realistic planning as our top most national priority. Unarguably a well thought out planning plays a pivotal role in any personal, social or national adventure. No planning is sure planning for failure. This is not acceptable at all. Let us plan and execute with point blank precision leaving rock solid foot prints for successive dispensations to maintain continuity and inherited legacy for times immemorial. The incumbent political stake holders are well poised to take the SOS call. The following major talking points may be worthy of adoption for due and urgent consideration.
The siblings, the tender hearted cute kids need profuse love and motherly care in their family units as well as in the crèches where they are lodged by the working parents, The pre nursery onwards and up to primary or middle level the kids are invariably in a mouldable state of impressionable minds. Any amount of pressure or trace of neglect with add on stress shall have extreme killing effect on their developing personality. The predominant focus revolves around high scores on account of razor sharp competition for admission in professional colleges and high package jobs from the stand point of parents, teachers coupled with threat perception from immediate rivals. The tiny tots are the repository of multidimensional dormant talent which also acts as the needed raw material for ultimate finely finished products in the shape of dynamic leaders, dare devil defence commanders, fearless bureaucrats, entrepreneurs of integrity for smooth journey of a strong nation.
But a cursory look at the prevailing scenario on the national landscape reflects utter disappointment and dejection. Right from the primary level the hapless kids are subjected to pass through strenuous and lopsided work schedule sans physical as well as creative activities. Schools either have no play grounds or no well trained physical teachers. Superfluous thrust on academics is order of the day. On top of it while planning new residential colonies no provision is made for play grounds exclusively meant for children. The whole effort zeroes on job oriented education with no direction on life values and the real purpose of human incarnation in the temporal world. The system calls for sweeping changes. The authorities holding levers of power have to act with double quick speed for immediate course correction to measure up to the heady challenge.
