REASI: The District level inter-school Silambam and Speedball Championship organized by District Youth and Sports Services Department Reasi gets underway on Tuesday at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Reasi.
District Sheep Husbandry Officer-Dr H.S Rana was the Chief Guest and Dy SP (DAR) Reasi Jugal Kishore was Guest of Honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were District Youth and Sports Officer-Dr S.S Chib, ZEPO Reasi-Om Prakas, ZEPO Chassana-Manohar Lal, Principal Bhartiya Vidya Mandir-Nresh Singh, Ram Lalji Sharma, and a large number of locals.
Earlier, in “Vel Kambu Veechu” Silambal U-14, Rohit Sharma of Amba Kids Katra emerged as winner, and Vishal Puri of Trikuta Shiksha Niketan Reasi got second place, while in U-17 Deeraj of Trikuta Shiksha Niketan got first place and Aman Sharma of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir got second place.
In Silambal, “Otrai Kambu Vecchu” U-14 Hari Om of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir got first place and Raja Mohd Asif of Amba Kids Katra got second place, whereas in U-17 Sahil Verma of GHSS Reasi emerged as winner and Bharat of Trikuta Siksha Niketan Reasi got second place.
