SAMBA: Government High School Sarna girls clinched the overall trophy in under-17 category in the inter-school athletics meet of district Samba. The meet was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), here on Tuesday.
The overall title trophy in girls under 14 category went to Humanity Public School Bassi Kalan. Similarly, in boys section, Parveen Model School Supwal secured the under-17 trophy while overall championship in under-14 year age group bagged by NV Dhalote.
In the finals and prize distribution function, District Development Commissioner, Samba, Sheetal Nanda was Chief Guest, who gave away the title trophies to the winning teams. Speaking to the gathering, she appreciated the district officer of DYSS, Subash Chander Bhardwaj for making the event a success.
Prominent among others present were Anirudh Singh Slathia, Rekha Sambyal, Vijay Singh Slathia, Rakesh Verma, BD Sharma, Pardeep Singh, Raghubir Singh, Dr Sunil Dubey, Dr Monika and Zorawar Singh Sambyal.
