GD Goenka students visit NASA

JAMMU: Goenkan are scaling new heights when it comes to setting benchmark for creating innovative and exciting activities which are conducted in the school religiously and rigorously.
The students of GD Goenka Public School Jammu this year experienced International Exposure when an Educational Trip To NASA (USA) was organized from 8th to 21st May, 2015.
During the 12 day long trip, the Goenkans visited NASA Space Centre where they were engaged in several challenges including the launch of Rocket, Robotics etc.
The students spend three days touring the facilities at the Kennedy Space Centre, meaningful interactions with the NASA Astronauts, explored the launching and the landing of space shuttles, understanding the mechanism of Robotics at MIT (Massa chutes Intuitions of Technology), riding a shuttle launch simulation and many more.
For recreation the children witnessed the wonders of ‘Universal studios and ‘Sea world’ at Orlando, where several interesting activities were held.
“The Meiden of Mist ‘The Niagra Falls’ captivated the students.
Besides this the children also got an opportunity to visit the ‘Empire State Building’ ‘Times square’ ‘The Statue of Liberty’ ‘Wall Street’, and Ground Zero at New York. Besides this, the White House and ‘Lincoln Memorial’ at Washington DC were visited MIT and Boston University too were visited. It is arguably, the best trip that the selected students have experienced. It is just a beginning for International Exposure at the GD Goenka School.
