DDC inspects ongoing development works

KATHUA: The District Development Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal on Saturday inspected
various development projects going on in the district.
Executive Engineer PWD, XEn JKPCC, AEE Irrigation accompanied the DDC during the visit.
During his maiden visit to the site of Polytechnic College building, the DDC issued instructions to the executing agency to expedite the construction work and ensure its completion within stipulated time. He directed authorities to strictly adhere to the quality norms. He further directed the agency to complete the ground floor at the earliest so that classes can be started from the coming session.
The DDC also visited Check Dam at Khokhyal and reviewed the progress of the work. He exhorted upon the Irrigation Department to complete the work on priority. He said the project bears significant importance for the agricultural community of the area and will give respite to a large number of populace.
DDC also visited Nagri and took stock of the ongoing works of Sub-District Hospital building, he directed the executing agency to pace up the work of hospital building with no compromise on the quality of work. He also took stock of the healthcare facilities available in the hospital for the patients.
Later, DDC visited District Court Complex Kathua where fire broke out today due to blast in a gas cylinder in canteen area.
District and Sessions Judge Kathua V.C Koul along with other members of Bar and Bench were present on the occasion.
